At age eight, Alisa Ann Ruch was fatally injured in a backyard barbecue accident in Southern California. Bravely using their tragedy as a catalyst for change, Alisa’s parents, local firefighters and medical professionals joined together and created the Alisa Ann Ruch Burn Foundation (AARBF) in 1971 with the goal of preventing burn injuries by teaching “Stop, Drop and Roll.”
Since 1982, Southern California’s roofing industry has come together every September to celebrate Alisa Ann’s birthday, raise money, and enjoy a fun day of golf. This year’s AARBF’s annual golf tournament will be held at Via Verde Country Club in San Dimas on Monday September 23rd. Proceeds from the tournament will support the charity’s educational programs, various yearlong recreation events, and Champ Camp which allows child burn survivors to learn they are not alone in their quest to make their injuries a thing of the past.
If you are not a golfer, please consider a Promotional Sponsorship or a Champ Camp donation to support this wonderful charity and we look forward to seeing you on September 23rd.
Please be responsible on the course and utilize designated drivers and ride share services.
